State and Federal Government Programs for small business

Historically Underutilized Business Certification Program (HUB)-

All Texas state agencies are required to make a good faith effort to use HUBs i.e. Historically Underutilized Business Certification Program (HUB) for the purpose of contracting construction services or purchases of commodities. At least 51% ownership of an Asian woman of Pacific, African American, and Hispanic American, Native American and/or American origin is a must for a company to obtain HUB certification.  The recent legislative session made a change and disabled the veterans who lent service. Historically Underutilized Business Certification Program

And the interest should include active participation in the control, operations, and administration of the entity’s affairs.
